Easter Cabbit?
When I realized that Pixi’s birthday would fall on Easter this year I couldn’t help but bring back the old “Don’t call her a bunny” joke. It’s been a while since I used it last anyway.
I’m not exactly sure why Joey has a sore paw in the first panel, I think they just got back from a walk. It just seemed to fit for some reason. I like how Fox turned out through out this one, but I’m still hating how it looks when I draw open muzzles. It’s something that I need to work on, which is part of why i tried this one.
I think the punch-line is ok, but the real humor comes in Fox’s reaction in panel 3.

Gotta love Fox’s dive for cover. He ain’t stupid, that blast is gonna take the WALL out.
Good call! And by the way, you’re officially the first to comment in this new site build! Thanks tons, and stick around, I hope it’s the first of many! ^.^
I’ve been reading these comics for a while. Good job as ever.
Thanks tons! Keep commenting, and let me know what you’d like to see more of! ^.^
So, why doesn’t the Pixi like being called a ‘bunny’?
Two things: First, there’s the whole “Cabbit” thing, bunny ignoring the whole feline half of the heritage. More, though, it’s the associations with the diminutive. Phrases like “Snow bunny” or “beach bunny” and so on tend to use the “bunny” tag to suggest a sort of mindless cute sexuality. ^.^
I have yet to read further, but to date (and i use that term loosely), This is my favorite rage-out for Pixi. Similarly, I agree with the comment about Fox’s dive for cover.
