Sweet Treats
The semi-regular reminder that Fox may be the POV character, but that doesn’t mean he’s a hero.
Look, there’s clearly some hanky-panky going on in this theatre, but the power dynamic between manager and floor employee is maybe over the line?
I totally forgot that like, y’all haven’t been staring at my notes and sketches and stuff for months, and don’t necessarily know everybody’s names yet. This joke really doesn’t work if you don’t know that the racoon’s name is Candy. >.>
On the not so punny side, Soda and Popcorn is probably the cheapest items to stock, and popcorn in particular goes stale(assuming it’s popped in the concession stand, not the bagged stuff), so eating off of that doesn’t hurt the budget so much. Chocolates and hard candy, though, have longer shelf life and is more expensive to stock.
So the ‘free soda and popcorn to employees’ is a relatively cheap way to keep the staff happy. Well, happier than without snacks.
100%. Most of the cost in popcorn and soda is actually in the packaging, so if it’s BYO container, why not let the employees have at? ^.^
Now we also had pretzels that had a series of different toppings, and a favorite of mine was a bag of popcorn with a bunch of cinnamon-sugar. It’s like free breakfast!
